Donald J. "Donnie" Forman (January 17, 1926 – May 10, 2018) was 1st Team All-City guard and All-City High scorer for Boys High in Brooklyn. He attended  New York University in the 1940s with Dolph Schayes he led the Violets to the postseason in three out of their four varsity seasons. As a freshman in 1945, Forman and Schayes joined sophomore Sid Tannenbaum to help lead NYU to a 16-6 record and a regional bid to the NCAA tournament. Forman was named All-Metropolitan honorable mention. Forman played one season (1948–49) in the Basketball Association of America as a member of the Minneapolis Lakers. He averaged 4.1 points per game and won a league championship.
