Floyd Layne Floyd Layne, Inducted into the NYC Hall of Fame in 2003

Floyd Layne (No 3) played college basketball for the City College of New York (CCNY)  he was instrumental in the team that won the NIT and NCAA championship in 1950 for CCNY. He later played professionally in the Eastern Professional Basketball League (EPBL) from 1954 to 1963. All-EPBL First Team (1955), All-EPBL Second Team (1956), NCAA Champion (1950), NIT Champion (1950), Layne was instrumental in developing Archibald at the Harlem Youth Center. He served as the head coach of CCNY (1974-1988).
