Joe Mullaney Inducted in 2010
Joe Mullaney (1925-2000) a Long Island native attended Chaminade High School. Mullaney later played college basketball at Holy Cross and with Bob Cousy. The Holy Cross team won the 1947 NCAA Championship.
He played briefly for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association. Mullaney was the head coach for Providence 1955-1969, Los Angeles Lakers 1969-1971, Kentucky Colonels ABA 1971-1973, Utah Stars ABA 1973-1974, Memphis Sounds ABA 1974-1975, Spirits of St. Louis ABA 1975-1976, Buffalo Braves 1976-1977, Brown 1978-1981, and Providence 1981-1985.
