Leonard Lewin, Inducted into the NYC Hall of Fame in 1993
Leonard Lewin was a sports writer for the New York Daily Mirror until 1963 when he joined the New York Post. He was honored in Madison Square Gardens and many other sports venues throughout his career, and in 1994 he was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame as the recipient of the Curt Gowdy Award. Lewin was the author of several basketball books including "My Unforgettable Season" which he wrote about the Knick's title year 1969-1970. In 1993 he received the Curt Gowdy Media Award by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for print media.
