Tom Hemans Inducted in 2001
Thomas Hemans played at Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, and collegiately for Niagara University. Hemans was the PSAL Executive Director from 1990-2001. As a PSAL Director Hemans wanted the new generation of players to experience what he did growing up playing at Madison Square Garden. Hemans approached Paul Munick the then vice president of the Garden, who listened.
Hemans played professionally for Hazleton Hawks (1956-60), Williamsport Billies (1959-62), Scranton Miners (1962-69), Hartford Capitals (1968-69), and Springfield Hall of Famers (1968-69).
