Emilio “Zeke” Sinicola Inducted in 2004
Emilio Joseph "Zeke" Sinicola (January 25, 1929 – June 6, 2011) a New York City native attended Benjamin Franklin High School in NY. The point guard's speed, court vision, and consistent outside shooting helped lead Benjamin Franklin High School to a city championship in 1946.
He played at Niagara University and was an All-American. Sinicola became the first Niagara player to score 1,000 points and finished with 1,188 as a three-year varsity player from 1948-51. As a junior in 1950, he led the Niagara to their first appearance in the National Invitation Tournament. In 1951 he was drafted in the 1st round, 4th overall pick by the Fort Wayne Pistons (1951-53).
