Mike Davis a Brooklyn native, first attended Eastern HS in Brooklyn, NY, and played at Virginia Union University (1965-69). At Virginia Union, he played at Barco-Stevens Hall under Coach Tom Harris, and despite television coverage, he captured NBA scouts' attention. With the 14th pick of the first round, the NBA’s Baltimore Bullets (1969-70) chose Davis, who was known as “The Crusher.” Davis scored 2,758 career points at VUU and led the NCAA Division II in 1968 with a 36.3-point average. Named to the 1970 NBA All-Rookie Team, he played on the Buffalo Braves (1970-72), and Memphis Tams (1972-73).
